Jump into that Jumpsuit Boys

It is 2017 and the hottest thing right now for men in street style is a jumpsuit. For years we’ve been watching women rock the jumpsuit, but now the men have taken over. I just have one question to ask: Why didn’t this happen sooner??

If you are a fan of wearing overalls, or have played around with styling them, then you are halfway there. Men that got into the overall trend will probably be most comfortable in a jumpsuit as it is a similar style concept.

Why you should give the jumpsuit a try: Jumpsuits are chic all by themselves. This is really nice for most men because they are challenged when it comes to paring pieces together to create an outfit. (Not all men are lumped into this category, but most find themselves there.) So men, why not get your whole look from one piece? The cut of jumpsuits is awesome because it defines the man’s waist and also elongates his legs. Another reason why I love this look is that it plays with the classic military style that we all love, but has a relaxed chill fit.

How to Style: The great thing about jumpsuits is that you really only need to think about shoes when you’re styling an outfit. I like to see men pair their jumpsuits with pointed toe loafers or oxfords to dress it up a bit. If this isn’t your style, or you want to keep your entire look more laid back, pair them with shoes like Common Projects, suede/leather retro sneakers, or gladiator sandals.

Jumpsuits vs. Rompers: The difference between jumpsuits and rompers are that rompers are shorts and jumpsuits are pants, but they are both a one piece. Rompers and jumpsuits come in similar styles, so you just need to decide whether you prefer shorts or pants.
